Pilanesberg National Park

Time to go find animals. We got up at 3:40am, at the park at 6:20 when it opened, and stayed until 17:57 (closes at 18). Cool in the morning and eve, low-mid 90s mid afternoon. Here is a sampler of the wildlife.

Helmeted Guineafowl

Hippopotomus

Rhinoceros (black or white? we don’t know)

Giraffe

Warthog

Elephant

Water Monitor (lizard)

Leopard

Lion (7mo old cubs, adults were hiding)

Kudu, Zebra, Impala

Southern Yellow Hornbill

We have several hundred more pictures yet to review. Perhaps we will have a “Best Of” episode in the future.

And now to head north (airlines willing).
