Tomorrow, we leave the hotel at 545(hopefully) to get our transfer to the airport for an 845 flight to Frankfurt. We have one stop, but don’t think we get off the plane. But it’s 12 hours total to get there. More tomorrow on that.
Today, we had a lazy, relaxing day. After breakfast we got our swimsuits on to go sit in the hotel chairs in the shade. We both read and then we took a short walk on the beach. Around noon or so we decided to go to the upper pools to try them out. The view up there was much better and a better breeze. And the locals don’t come by every few minutes asking if you want to buy a soccer jersey, sunglasses or a sarong or go out on their boat. We politely said No thank you many times.
The reason I say hopefully we have a ride to the airport is because people at the front desk know nothing about the transfers. You must talk to someone in reservations. They showed us the room, but no one was there. Someone took down Mike’s number and they would confirm. We were to confirm today. After our 4 hours of reading and such, someone was in the reservation room and he called our driver and he will be here. But we have his phone number just in case.
Zanzibar is beautiful but certainly different than anywhere else we have been on this trip. It is a Unesco site. We have enjoyed our relaxing time.
