Thank You Frank!

Six days ago Frank arrived at our lodge with our missing bags from the airport in hand. Since then, he has been our guide, driver, and local expert. He has driven from Arusha to Kogatende (500km), toured us through Ngorongoro Crater, and spent three days chasing (and finding) hidden animals in the Serengeti. If all goes well, by the time you read this, he has driven another 450km back to Arusha for a well earned break at home with his family.

Of course we took some pictures this morning of Frank and the truck:

The rest of the day is somewhat boring. We left Kogatende on one of those small planes with 5 passengers. We flew to Lobo (20 min) to fetch two more. We then flew to Mwanza to clear Tanzania Exit processes (45 min), and finally a one-hour flight across Lake Victoria to Entebbe in Uganda.

Quick transfer to our hotel, caught up on our writing, and now to prepare for a 7am flight in another small (smaller?) plane. We don’t know what connectivity will be like for the next few days….but we will wave at the gorillas for all of you.
